Below are the Christian Book Award (CBA) Winners for 2025!
CBA Winners for the 1 October 2025 CBAs:
‘Savior’s Day’ by Alan Winter. Savior’s Day is a work of fiction taken out of today’s headlines. The inspiration came in night visions upon my bed when the Lord revealed to me events that were shortly to come to pass beginning with the rapture of His Church, the called out ones, when Christ shall appear in the clouds and take His chosen people, those in the grave and those who are alive to live with Him in heaven forever.

‘The Infinity Within’ by Kris Land. Could there be an unseen power within you – vast as the cosmos – just waiting to be awakened? In The Infinity Within: Break Through Fear, Trust Your Inner Power, and Create a Life That Reflects Who You Truly Are, journey alongside Gabe as he tumbles from one impossible event to the next, each revelation exposing the thin veil between everyday life and a universe brimming with miracles.

‘The Word That Loves You: Begin’ by Allen Thompson Brillhart III. Uses verses to discuss six important topics including Thee Fall, Forgiveness, Faith, Fruit of the Spirit, Finding Others for Salvation and Frequent Prayer.

‘The Son Cometh: Volume II’ by Brian D. Baldemor. From the rise of Herod (ca. 44 BCE) to the destruction of Jerusalem (70 CE), The Son Cometh is an exegetical, systematic, and historical study chronicling several religious and political strands central to the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

‘Spiritual Dynamite: Secrets from the Spindrift Files’ by Bill Sweet. Spiritual Dynamite addresses how technology and social media have rewired human brains, and what Christians can to counteract its negative effects.

‘Metamorphosis: Asleep-Aware-Awake-Alive’ by Ted Hood. He built his life around logic. She built hers around healing. Can they find common ground in the heart?

‘The Truth about the Tribulation’ by Jim Lewis. There are things you need to know before the tribulation starts. This book is about the Tribulation, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon, and the 1000 reign of Christ on Earth, occurring in the near future.

‘From The Darkness Into His Light’ by Bret Cheek. Steve Frost is a military veteran who is homeless and living in a city alley. After being chosen by God to fight Satan’s demons that have a hold on people. Steve’s journey begin when he has an unforgettable encounter with the archangel, Michael. His battles take him through experiences that test his faith and resilience.

‘Testaments of the Soul’ by Lasheka Lee. Inspirational, emotional, romantic and sensational is some of what makes up this book. This book brings to life meaningful experiences that captures peoples lives.

‘A Timeless Script From a 1st Century Doctor: Advent through the eyes of Dr. Luke’ by Rick Farmer. A Biblical study of the book of Luke.

‘Psalms of Sherlock’ by Gail Ann Swales. Sherlock Holmes, the world’s only consulting detective, has no clue of the rich symphony God has planned for his life. When murder strikes too close, the music of Sherlock’s life turns dark and melancholic, and he vows to find the destiny of a person’s essence after death.

‘Gentling Soul: A Legacy of Love’ by El Alma. Gentling Soul–A Legacy of Love is a generational tale of Asina, a gentling soul. The narrative opens with Asinaat an ancient gathering of souls taking place in heaven. Here she remembers partaking in a choice she made with her family of souls to live on earth with a genetic impairment for future generations.

‘The Life of Apostle John: A Journey of Faith and Revelation’ by Elder Willie Foster. Discover the profound journey of one of Christianity’s most influential figures in The Life of Apostle John: A Journey of Faith and Revelation.

‘Ellie The Elephant’ by Dian Cooper. Ellie thought she did not belong in a family where she was different. Even though she was perfect in every way, she compared herself to her brother. She found running away brought her back to the family she loved.

‘Without Faith’ by Keith McClean. A reporter and a cop who lost children to violent crime target city hall for covering up the truth.

‘Swallowed By Time’ by Darrell G. Coley. A group of time travelers have to decide whether to rescue a group of sailors whose ship was sunk and risk altering the timeline, or let them die!

'Witnesses of God’s Redemptive Passion Stephen J. Schafers. Embark on a transformative journey through the Old Testament, where ancient narratives come alive with renewed depth and relevance. ‘My Testimonies of His Amazing Grace: When God Shows Up’ by Kin Szeto. A compilation of stories that point to the goodness of God. The author tells 13 vignettes of how God changed and delivered him or his family members from danger or great difficulty.

‘The Santastical World of Traveling Santa’ by Lara Simone. Embark on a magical journey filled with wonder, kindness, and Christmas cheer. ‘The Caregiver's Journey’ by Elizabeth Dell. There’s nothing easy about caring for elderly parents. It can be beautiful like a rose, yet also relentlessly painful. ‘Pieces Falling’ by Ann Van Hine. Pieces Falling is Ann's story of navigating the very personal loss of her husband, Bruce-a New York City firefighter who died on 9/11- amid the very public tragedy that shocked the world.

‘Liam McTrium: Don’t Quit’ by Julienne Lingle. Liam and his friends are in a fishing tournament against Big Tom’s team, who likes to poke fun at them. Liam’s team is trying to win the three-hundred-dollar prize to give to a family in need. When things go wrong, will they quit, or will they work together to win the prize?

‘You Make My Heart Giggle: Dadisms, The Wisdom and Wit of Dad’ by Brent Larsen. A collection of sayings Dad’s often use that provide inspiration, laughter, or a heartfelt reminder of life's most cherished values.

‘Through the Lens of an Ancient Yisra'elite Bible Study’ by Benjamin Carrasquillo Jr. An immersive exploration of biblical texts, inviting readers into the world of first-century Yisra'elites. Rather than delivering a sermon, the book provides an informative and engaging study that delves into the cultural, linguistic, and traditional contexts of the time.

‘A Time With Jesus: Volume 2’ by Julienne Lingle. A devotional that helps kids draw closer to Jesus.

CBA Winners for the 1 July 2025 CBAs:
‘Popper Hopkins: The Thief by Julienne Lingle. While on a hike, Popper discovers that his friends’ things are disappearing. His friends get angry and begin accusing each other of stealing. Will Popper figure out who the thief is before it's too late?

‘Seeking the Lost: Sheep’ by Daniel Cramton. This is the first in a series of picture books which illustrate Jesus’ parables for kids that contain artwork and rhymes which tell the story! Daniel Cramton details the first parable of a sheep gone missing and the feelings that accompanied the consequences of disobedience, and then the response of the Shepherd who showed grace, mercy and kindness. The first book is about a sheep gone missing. The Shepherd led, but it wasn't listening.

‘The Seed of Faith: A Christmas Miracle’ by Daniel Petronelli. A graphic novel which tells the story of a group of young boys lost in a powerful storm on Christmas Eve, and a chance encounter with a kind stranger that may be their only hope!

‘Near the Danube Bridge: A Story of Faith, Courage, and Endurance’ by Catherine Allen-Walters & Elisabeth Hartig Lentulo. This is a historical biography which tells the story of KalmanHartig, a Christian violinist who grew up in Communist Yugoslavia, refused to bear arms when he was drafted, and his suffering in prison for sticking to his religious beliefs. His life has a happy ending because he was eventually released, got married to his sweetheart Minka, and got to move to the United States!

‘Along Came Hell, or So I Thought’ by Lois Young. When unspeakable sin enters her family through her husband’s evil acts, Lois Young shows how God brought healing, forgiveness and new life in herself and her entire family. CBA Warning: This book is not for children they should not be exposed to it, but we think Christian men could see it as a warning never to cross that line, and Christian women could see how shockingly one woman forgave her husband after what he did.

‘Letters From Jesus: Poems of Guidance’ by Regina Marie Blaylock. A book of religious poems written by the author when she was going through a particularly difficult period in her life, which she presents to help others get through their tough times. This is a wonderful book for people to read when they are experiencing difficult circumstances because it reminds them how Jesus cares for them and in going to get them through!

‘Stepping Out: A New Believer's Guide’ by S. T. Stone. Once the initial excitement of becoming a Christian fades away, a new convert is faced with a dilemma: “Where do I go from here?” This book attempts to answer that question. The first part of the book talks about becoming more like Jesus, and the second part discusses fundamental truths all Christians need to know like Jesus is God, Christians need to avoid sin, Jesus will return, and many others!

‘The War of the Twins’ by Brian Bowen. In this good versus evil story 3 good heroes in charge of the resistance Aiden and younger brother and sister the twins Emma and Emrys, are fighting the evil Zaphronwho has invaded their peaceful land of Riftbridge. The resistance is tough, Aiden has won battles before, Emma has trained in a secret battle technique called the sword dance, and Emrys knows a secret prophecy about some help that is on the way! Will it all be enough to save their land and defeat Zaphronand his evil army?

‘Jorsa’ by Eric Swanson. A Christian fantasy novel about the faith needed to face evil and win against overwhelming odds. In this story a good blue elf named Jorsaand his friend Lefthe island dweller, face off against the evil Tilifand his minions to protect the good king Karlekand save their home.

‘Running Wild: More Than Scars’ by Katherine Friese. This book details a young woman’s journey both emotionally and physically as she received a breast cancer diagnosis and the treatments she went through to become cancer free! She wrote it to help those who get the diagnosis, caregivers, and anyone interested in not just cancer but struggling to overcome a significant challenge!

‘Do You See What I See? What God Sees When He Looks at You!’ by Anna Donahue. This book teaches kids God turns shy ordinary people into heroes of the Bible! Three kids are staring at their reflections in a pond on their way home from school and wonder what does God see when he looks at them! Their teacher told them many heroes of the Bible went from ordinary to extraordinary when they met God!

CBA Winners for the 1 April 2025 CBAs:
‘The Girl Who Spoke To The Sky’ by Erika Smith. Inspired by a true story, this picture book takes readers on a heartwarming journey of faith and discovery. ‘Popper Hopkins The Candy Tree’ by Julienne Lingle. Popper Hopkins is in charge when his dad and mom go to the meadow. The only rule was not to eat peppers from the colorful tree in the garden. Sly, the fox, is always trying to cause problems and lies to Popper, telling him it is a candy tree full of sweets. Will Popper believe Sly and eat from the candy tree?

‘A Time With Jesus: 30 Day Devotional for Kids Volume 1’ by Julienne Lingle. This book is a great way to help kids start their day with Jesus. Each daily devotion starts with a Scripture and teaches a Biblical principle. When kids start their day with Bible reading and prayer it helps with their attitude, outlook on life and reminds them God made them for a purpose and He loves them!

CBA Winners for the 1 January 2025 CBAs:
‘Tackling for Love’ by Double Blessing Ja’Naya and Jay’Den-Alexis. A family friendly Christian romance novel where Rider tries to win the heart of strong and outspoken Naylene. Unfortunately for Rider, he’s not the only one competing for Naylene’sheart!

‘Popper Hopkins: The Prayer Bench’ by Julienne Lingle. Popper Hopkins was on his way to help his dad. Along the way, he met his friends who shared with him their problems. Popper wrote their names on rocks to pray for them and placed them in his backpack. Soon, the burden became too heavy and caused him to fall. Will Popper learn how God answers prayers?

‘Popper Hopkins: Jumping on the Clouds’ by Julienne Lingle. Popper Hopkins and his friends, Miles and Luna, like to jump on the clouds for fun. Miles’ shell grows bigger and heavier with each thing he does wrong. It makes it harder for him to jump on the clouds. Will Popper be able to help Miles get rid of the weight that he carries?

‘Insights From Christ’ by VernitaSimmons. In this book the author uses the words of Jesus to provide insights into how to live a better more fulfilled life. From critical topics like depending on the Lord and living a Holy life, we are reminded how Jesus wants us to live our lives.
